2018 Bob Robson Classic Golf Tournament Friday August 24th!

It’s that time of year again and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on a new relationship with GlenDenning Golf Course! We are still in need of teams so if you or someone you know likes to play golf contact us at officenldss@gmail.com to register.

Register a team ($600 per team or 4/$150 per player) and you will enjoy a fun-filled day, which includes your round of golf followed by a delicious steak meal.  We will provide a charitable receipt for income tax purposes. ($300 per team or $75 per player). Of course, we will also be having a “fun-raising” portion to our day with ticket sales and prize draws on some great items during the lunchtime festivities: 50/50 tickets, mulligan purchases, etc. So make sure to have some extra cash on hand so you do not miss out.

All funds raised go towards our “SPREADING OUR WINGS” initiative, which seeks to provide necessary therapy programs that include Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Music Therapy and Social Skills Group Sessions. Our goal at NLDSS is to ensure we help all persons with Down syndrome, across the whole province, have access to these services but we cannot do it without your help.

For more information, click on the Golf icon on the sidebar. For your convenience, we’ve also attached the registration, sponsorship and golf cart and rental forms.

We hope to have you join us!

Spirit of Newfoundland Presents: Skeets, Snobs and Peppermint Nobs

Spirit of Newfoundland takes us back to a time when the Ryan’s and Pittman’s ranted and roared and Dr. Chase and cod liver oil got us through the hard, hard times. Elsewhere in the world, the twenties were roaring and the thirties were dirty. Here at home Gerald S. Doyle was creating the beloved Newfoundland song books. Now, decades later, fans around the world are clapping their hands and stomping their feet to the music of Newfoundland.

Starring: Dana Parsons, Keith Power, Jeff Simms, Kara Noftle and the Spirit of Newfoundland band.
